Layer library
Build a collection of reusable layers to maintain consistency across your organization's maps.

The Layer Library is a shared team repository where team members can publish styled data layers, making them available for anyone on the team to add to their maps with a single click. It helps unlock spatial data across your entire organization.
Teammates who manage the data can upload data and publish it once, enabling other editors to use that data and add the pre-configured layer to their own maps without needing access to the original dataset or handling the data upload. This saves time, ensures visual consistency across team maps, and makes it easy to share commonly-used datasets (like parcel boundaries, zoning layers, or company-specific reference data) across multiple projects.
Publishing a layer
This feature is only available on the Enterprise plan. Contact sales to upgrade.
When you publish a layer to your team library, the following elements are preserved and available for reuse across maps:
Layer data: the underlying dataset is included with the published layer
Layer styling: all visual styling (colors, symbols, stroke weights, opacity, etc.) applied through Felt Style Language (FSL) is preserved
Components (enterprise): any dashboards configured for the layer are saved and all their settings are preserved
Layer metadata: the layer's name and description from the Info tab appear in the library
Thumbnail: an auto-generated preview based on the layer's bounding box
To publish a layer from a map to your Workspace's layer library:
In edit mode, click on the layer in the legend
On the layer panel, click on the rocket icon

Set the layer name and then click
Publish
You can alternatively publish a layer form the layer overflow menu: ... > Actions > Publish... > Publish

Using library layers
Any editor can add a layer from the library to their map. When a team member adds a library layer to their map, a copy is created. Once on the map, it can be edited to meet the design needs of that map. Edits made to the layer on that map won't affect the library version, and vice versa.

Deleting a layer
To delete the layer from the library, click on the ... on the layer thumbnail and then select Delete published layer.... If you delete a layer from the library, copies already placed on maps remain unaffected.
