Billing
Manage your Felt plan, free trial, payments, and invoices. Learn how to upgrade or cancel and what happens when a trial or plan ends.
Each workspace has its own plan and billing. Felt has five plans: Free, Team, Business, Enterprise, and Classroom. See the Felt pricing page for prices, seats, and usage limits, or Compare plans for included capabilities.
Free trial
A person's first workspace starts with a 7-day trial of the Business plan and the Platform add-on, with no credit card required. Each person gets one automatic trial, so a second workspace they create doesn't get another. People who sign up with a personal email address, such as Gmail, don't get an automatic trial. The trial includes everything on the Business plan, including uploads, dashboards, the Field App, Felt AI, and MCP.
When the trial ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan unless an admin chooses a paid plan. Your maps stay, and uploaded data is kept for 60 days. See When a plan ends.
Choose or change a plan
Go to felt.com/maps/latest/billing. You can also click your workspace name in the sidebar, click Workspace settings, and click the Billing tab.
To switch between yearly and monthly prices, click paid yearly or paid monthly next to a plan's price. The prices on the plan cards change to match.
Click Choose Team or Choose Business. The checkout page opens.
Enter your payment details and confirm. The workspace moves to the new plan, ending any trial in progress.
You can pay for the Team and Business plans monthly or annually. The Enterprise plan is billed annually; talk to sales to sign up. Felt's prices are in US dollars only.
You can change plans in the middle of a term. Upgrades take effect right away and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current term. Workspace admins can also add seats on the Billing tab. See Seats and viewers.
When a plan ends
A workspace moves to the Free plan when its trial ends, when a canceled plan reaches the end of its term, or when a Classroom plan ends. On the Free plan:
Maps and annotations stay. You can keep opening, annotating, and sharing them, and links to them keep working.
Uploaded and field-captured data is kept for 60 days after the plan ends, with a watermark. Resubscribing in that time restores it. After 60 days, it may be deleted.
Capabilities that require a paid plan are no longer available. You can't upload new data, and embedded maps show Upgrade to embed maps instead of the map.
To keep a copy of your data, export it before the plan ends. See Export data. Data in your own database or bucket stays there, because Felt reads it without moving it.
Manage payments and invoices
The Billing tab shows your current plan, your next invoice, and your past invoices.
To change your payment card, click Update payment method and enter the new card details.
To choose who gets invoices, open Send invoices to in the Invoices section.
To add a purchase order number or other text to invoices, enter it in Memo.
To download a past invoice, click Download invoice next to it.
You can pay for an annual Business plan or an Enterprise plan by invoice or purchase order. To arrange either, talk to sales.
Cancel a plan
To cancel a Team or Business plan, you need Admin access to the workspace. On the Billing tab, click Cancel plan, then click Cancel my subscription. The plan stays active until the end of the current term, when the workspace moves to the Free plan. To cancel an Enterprise plan, email support@felt.com.
Other plans and add-ons
On a paid plan, the Platform add-on provides the JavaScript SDK and embed tokens. With these tokens, people can view private maps without Felt accounts. The Classroom plan is for teaching, and nonprofits get a discount. See For classrooms and For nonprofits.
Felt AI and MCP
Felt AI
Felt AI doesn't cost extra. Each plan that includes Felt AI comes with monthly Felt AI credits. On a paid plan, an admin can buy more credits. See Felt AI credits and AI assistant.
MCP
Available on the Business and Enterprise plans. Compare plans
Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets you use Felt from your own AI tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Only MCP tools that run Felt AI use the workspace's Felt AI credits; MCP integrations lists them.
