Embed a map
Embed an interactive Felt map in a website, Notion, WordPress, or Power BI. Customize the iframe's legend, tools, controls, and view.
To embed a Felt map, open it on a computer, click Share > Embed > Copy code, and paste the iframe code into your site. People can explore the map, click features, and see photos without leaving your page. For a public embed, set public link access to View or View and comment. See Set public link access.
Embed a map on a website
The Configure embed dialog shows a live preview of your Felt map and generates its iframe code.
Click Share at the top right of the map, then click Embed. The Configure embed dialog opens.
Optional: Under Settings, choose what the embed shows. See Embed settings.
Pan and zoom the preview to set the view people see when the embed opens.
Click Copy code.
Paste the code into your website's HTML where the map should appear.
The copied code looks like this:
The embed URL starts with https://felt.com/embed/map/. The regular map link, https://felt.com/map/…, can't be shown in an iframe. To change the embed's size, edit width and height.

To let people search for addresses and places in the embed, add Search under Tools. See Search. For the table setting, see Map settings.
Copy code writes the settings into the iframe's src as URL parameters, such as legend=0 to hide the legend and loc=40.71,-74.01,12z for the view. To rotate the view when the embed opens, add a bearing to loc, such as 40.71,-74.01,12z,45b. Embed URLs have no parameters for filters, layer visibility, or selected features. To control those from your page, use the JavaScript SDK.
Hiding the Felt logo is part of custom branding. See Workspaces.
Embed in Notion, WordPress, and other tools
Notion, WordPress, and other tools that support oEmbed can embed a Felt map from its link. oEmbed is a standard that turns a pasted link into an interactive embed.
In the map, click Share at the top right, then click Copy link.
Paste the link into your Notion page or WordPress post. The interactive map appears.
For a site builder without oEmbed, paste the iframe code from Copy code into an HTML or custom code block. See Embed a map on a website.
Embed in Power BI
In Power BI, the HTML Content visual displays a Felt map in your report by rendering iframe code stored in your data.
In Felt, copy the map's iframe code with Copy code. See Embed a map on a website.
In Power BI, add the code as the value of a column in your data.
In the Visualizations pane, click Get more visuals and add the HTML Content visual to your report.
Select the column that holds the iframe code. The map appears in the visual.
Embed a map only invited people can open
A Felt embed can be limited to people you invite. Leave the map's public link access at None and invite each person to the map. They log in to Felt to see the embed, and everyone else sees Map Not Found. See Invite people by email.
Embed a map for people without Felt accounts
Available with the Platform add-on. Compare plans
An authenticated embed lets your customers open a private map without a Felt account and without joining your workspace. Your application gets an embed token from the Felt REST API and adds it to the embed URL. Each token uses the viewer's email address for tracking. See Authenticated embeds.
Troubleshooting embeds
Embed shows "Map Not Found"
The person viewing the embed doesn't have access to the map, most often because public link access is None. To show the map to everyone, set public link access to View or View and comment with the Public access selector in the map's Share menu. The error page mentions Share to web, the old name for public link access.
Embed shows "Upgrade to embed maps"
The map's workspace plan doesn't include embeds. To embed maps, upgrade the workspace. See Free plan.
Embed shows "Map view limit reached"
The workspace has used all its map views for the month. Each load of an embed counts as one map view. The embed works again when the limit resets on the first day of the month. See Plan usage.
Browser says felt.com refused to connect
The iframe uses the regular map link (https://felt.com/map/…) instead of the embed URL. Copy the code again with Copy code, or change /map/ to /embed/map/ in the iframe's src.
